Rock Paper Scissors, Redux
A new take on an old game, done with the help of MS Paint and MS Photo Editor. I created this as part of Alexamarie's Open Diary challenge, "31 Photos in 31 Days", which I'm also following here....
Below are the original photos (cropped and reduced in size) of items in my studio.
Yesterday's photo entry, courtesy of Mary stopping by the studio to show me the marbling effect of mixing eggnog with coffee liqueur:
On Monday the St. Petersburg Times printed my workshop buddy Meredith West's lyrical and sobering guest column on the effect of urban expansion on rural roads. It's a wonderful little piece, and I hope more of her writings see publication. From her article, Urban boom reduces magic of rural roads:
"How a road can contribute to a feeling of well-being is certainly beyond my understanding, but it works for us. In one place gnarled branches, wrapped in vines and dripping Spanish moss meet above, creating a shadowy mysterious tunnel. Here the only signs of Florida growth are the natural kind: flowering bushes, palmettos. There are wide expanses of sun-struck meadow where cattle or horses nose around, places where the land stretches and meets a line of trees marking some ancient boundary."
Have a good weekend, all.

Nice 'cut' on rock, paper, scissors!
We never did rocks, paper and scissors, but used to say "let's buck up" and then pick odds and evens and then shake hands and reveal one or two fingers.
